Welcome to the Community Counseling Clinic (CCC) at California State University, East Bay where our mission is to provide no-cost, high quality counseling services to the members of our community and to promote social justice and democracy by preparing knowledgeable and competent helping professionals.

The CCC functions both as a community counseling agency and a training facility for its graduate level professional counselors-in-training who are enrolled in the University’s Educational Psychology Program working to aquire the knowledge, skills, and experience needed to earn their Marriage and Family Therapy license. The CCC does not provide 24 hour support or mental health diagnosis or evaluations. In cases of emergency, please dial 911.

Individual Counseling

Some reasons for seeking individual counseling may include:

  • Grief
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Assertiveness issues–feeling like you’re not being heard
  • Children facing behavior challenges at school or at home
  • A desire for greater self -awareness and personal growth
  • Learning to cope during a difficult transition (loss of a job, difficult break up, etc.)

Group Counseling

Stress Management Group Youth / Adults

Understand what stress is, how it manifests in our bodies, and how to decrease it’s effects in our bodies and relationships.

Parent Support Group

Connect with local families and learn strategies for dealing with family based issues.
