Treatment Levels of Care
Center For Discovery has been dedicated to providing successful treatment for years, and over that time we have developed a treatment model that has helped us create a legacy of success throughout the different levels of care. Our programs allow for one-of-a-kind treatment to be provided to every client, supporting their healing, growth, and recovery. At Center For Discovery, we know that treatment is not only about the diagnosed issues, it is about the contributing factors that underlie those conditions. We understand that while the symptoms may be similar, the underlying factors are unique to each of our clients. All clients are personally involved in creating their treatment program and treatment is highly individualized to address the specific underlying issues of each client using specialized therapies for eating disorders, mental health, and substance abuse, no matter what the level of care.  Whether it is around-the-clock care at our residential treatment centers, or treatment scheduled around your schedule at our intensive outpatient programs, Center For Discovery will create the best environment for your recovery.

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
Intensive Outpatient Programs typically involve afternoon or evening involvement, and include several hours per day, a minimum of three times per week.
IOP usually includes several groups, nutritional counseling, and individual and family therapy.
Intensive outpatient programs with often also have groups for families, which is crucial for helping families find support and raise awareness.
This level of care is not appropriate if a client not medically stable, or motivated to get better.

Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)
Partial Hospitalization Programs also referred to as “Day Treatment,” typically meet during the day for a minimum of 6 hours per day 5-7 days per week which allows the client to practice their skills in the evenings and weekends.
As with other levels of outpatient treatment, participation in partial hospitalization requires a degree of motivation to get better, the ability to reach out and ask for help, and an ability to use skills as needed.
Partial hospitalization or day treatment is not appropriate if a client is not medically stable or the behaviors cannot be managed in this setting. For example, if a client typically waits until everyone is asleep before purging or binging and purging, then partial hospitalization may not be appropriate.

Residential Treatment Centers (RTC)
Residential treatment offers around the clock supervision and support in a highly structured and nurturing environment. Residential treatment involves intensive individual, group, milieu, and family therapy while facilitating resources and community involvement for life after treatment.
Residential treatment offers opportunities such as restaurant outings, grocery shopping, and passes with family to test out their skills.
This level of care is not appropriate if a client is not medically stable or has demonstrated that they can successfully manage their behaviors and attitudes in a lower level of care.
