Julie Dunkle, M.Ed., Executive Functioning Coach

  • Goal: with expert guidance and support, and by understanding their neurodiversity and leveraging a growth mindset, students develop critical skills and tools necessary to successfully manage their high school, college and life experiences.
  • Multimodal Foci in: academic, physical, emotional, social, vocational, etc. arenas with an emphasis on independence while transitioning to high school,  college and career.
  • Skill Development in: self-advocacy, planning, organization, self-regulation, prioritization, resource attainment, time management, goal setting, working memory, cognitive flexibility, problem solving, self-evaluation
  • Clients Served with: anxiety, apraxia/dyspraxia autism, ADHD, depression, dyscalculia, dyslexia, executive functioning, learning disability NOS, mood disorder, OCD, processing speed, repetitive stress, Rett, sensory processing and social skills needs.
  • Provide: collaboration, advocacy and case management with teachers/professors, doctors, therapists, IEP teams, and service providers.
  • Related Qualifications/Experience: Master’s from Harvard U in Educational Psychology of Adolescents at Risk; Undergraduate from George Washington U in Applied Math in Computer Science; 10 years high school math teaching; Stanford U master teacher; GATE (gifted education) certified; active CA teaching credential; 15 years in high-tech; Intel Legal pro-bono special education legal advocate; Alameda County court appointed Guardian Ad Litem; MatheMagics (math tutoring and pods) business owner
