Maureen Tabari provides special education legal services for parents struggling to receive appropriate education for their children with disabilities. She can help with IEP and 504 plans, as well as eligibility issues and is versed in assisting families to determine appropriate supports and services for their students, including hiring independent evaluators for IEE’s when needed.  She is knowledgeable about federal and state law that protects students who have special learning needs or disabilities.  Her goal is to educate and work with families so they can become better advocates for their children’s education.

Maureen Tabari began devoting her practice to special education law after years as a general business litigation attorney, bringing a useful perspective to the sometimes adversarial relationships created by school districts. She works hard to reduce conflict and stress for her clients, but takes legal action when necessary to achieve success for students with the schools (elementary, high school and college) and districts, the Office of Administrative Hearings and state and federal courts.  The firm also helps families resolve and negotiate (and litigate when necessary) bullying issues and conflicts with and administration at schools.
