Rainbow Music Therapy Services is a small team of board certified music therapists who provide a client-centered, integrative approach to music therapy. We work with age’s pre-K through adulthood and of all ability levels. We combine our passion and love of music and techniques and training as music therapists to connect with each of our clients and address their therapeutic goals.

We provide services to children, teens, and adults of all abilities in both the Bay Area, CA and Northern New Jersey. We have music therapy studios located in Los Altos, California, and Denville, New Jersey.

What is Music Therapy?
“Music Therapy is the clinical and evidence based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program.” (American Music Therapy Association, 2005)

Music Therapy provides children and adults with special needs a space for growth and development no matter what age or level of ability. Individual goals and needs are established through assessment and discussion with parents and caregivers. Clients do NOT need to be musicians to participate in Music Therapy.  Music Therapy is for everyone!  Music Therapy utilizes music as a tool through which to address non-music related goals which are specific to a person’s needs and development.  Music Therapy accesses a person’s strengths through music and develops them as part of the music making experience.
