Silicon Valley ABA and Consulting services (SVABACS) is a Non-Public Agency (NPA) accredited by California Department of Education (CDE) to provide behavior intervention including development of behavior modification plans and behavior intervention implementation as stated in the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).

SVABACS is also a service provider from San Andreas Regional Center to provide Intensive Adaptive Skills Training. SVABACS was founded in 2007 that currently services children diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorder and other similar neurological disorders.

SVABACS provides in-home and school intervention services for children with autism spectrum disorder and other related disabilities. Silicon Valley ABA and Consulting services implement various methodologies using applied behavior analysis to teach children become more independent and self-regulated.

OUR SERVICES

APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS (ABA)
Behavior Analysis is the scientific study of behavior. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the application of the principles of learning and motivation from Behavior Analysis, and the procedures and technology derived from those principles, to the solution of problems of social significance. Many decades of research have validated treatments based on ABA.At SVABACS, we use ABA methods to support individual with autism to increase behavior; to teach new skills; to maintain behavior; to generalize or to transfer behavior from one situation or response to another; to restrict or narrow conditions under which interfering behaviors occur; to reduce interfering behaviors.

ADAPTIVE SKILLS TRAINING (AST)
The term “Adaptive Skills” means how well a person can deal with the tasks of everyday life. These tasks include the ability to speak and understand, ability to perform home-living skills, use community resources, leisure, self-care, self-direction and work skills.
SELF -HELP SKILLS
Self-help skills examples are toileting, tooth-brushing, dressing, etc. At SVABACS, we facilitate the learning of basic skills and provide training to parents on how to implement or carry out the plan. Individualized intervention plan is provided depending on the case/issue. ​
EARLY INTERVENTION (EI)
Silicon Valley Early Intervention (SVEI) program focuses on teaching the individual/child to appropriate apply all new and learned skills and information across all settings and people. Some of the areas of emphasis involved in successfully implementing this translation include:
Developing age appropriate life-long functional adaptation and tools “Implement Program Goals derived from the IFSP”.
Referencing people and the environment for cues (social referencing) – Safety in Community
Overall Social Skills and Cognitive Development – Independence and Self-regulation
Building more meaningful relationships with friends and family.
Enhance language and communication skills.

SVEI provides individualized treatment programs to the individual/child with Developmental Delay and Neurological Disorder. Our Individualized Curriculum/Program helps each individual/child learn new skills, facilitate parent training and reduce the problem behavior.

In all aspects of the In-Home Direct Service, Parents, Caregivers or Authorized Consumer Representatives are trained to:

Recognize and respond to the child ‘s unique characteristics, temperament and non-verbal communication signaling distress or the need for interaction.
Increase and develop parent-child interpersonal relationship through the day-to-day activities, such as bathing, dressing and comforting.
Care for the Special Needs of the Child.

SAFETY SKILLS
Safety skills include proper behavior in the community and following safety measures. Most individuals with learning disabilities have Low to Zero safety skills. At SVABACS, we help individuals learn basic safety skills inside the home and out in the community. Impulsive behavior is addressed through Behavior Modification by creating a solid environment offering love, stability and safety for individuals. ANXIETY
Anxiety is related to fear and other phobias. At SVABACS, we are able to address anxiety problems related to fear and phobias through Cognitive Behavior Therapy. INTENSIVE PARENT TRAINING
Part of our Intensive Training is to provide consistency in implementing behavior modification strategies and to reduce or prevent the antecedents of inappropriate behavior.We provide Adaptive Skills Training for individuals from 3 years and above to meet their on-going struggle and provide Intensive Training to both consumers and parents to reinforce master of skill. Skills can be learn through constant repetition of tasks and gradually increasing the level on each aspect of development.
