Research has shown that the experiences youth may have during high school and post-secondary programs – volunteer work, internships, first jobs – have the greatest impact on their successful postschool outcomes and life satisfaction. If your youth is in middle school or beyond, and you want to hear more, please join us.

Kristina Lewis, Mendocino SELPA Program Manager, WorkAbility I/Transition Partnership Programs and member of the CA Transition Alliance Leadership Team, and Tricia Lomino, San Luis Obispo SELPA Program Specialist will discuss:

  • How programs like WorkAbility I (WAI), Transition Partnership Programs (TPP), and Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) We Can Work can help prepare youth for employment
  • How students can explore and access these programs
  • The “how, what, when, where, and why” work preparation is important for youth while still in school

This webinar will provide live Spanish interpretation.

This is a Connections California event. Connections California is a project of Parents Helping Parents – Silicon Valley.
