September 20, 2023 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM

For Santa Clara County residents ONLY

As caregivers, we have a lot of guilt about the mistakes we make, we struggle with the choices we face and put burdens on ourselves that feel like the weight of the world. Over the eight weeks of this series, we will explore the power of mindfulness to gain self-compassion through skills that will help you and that can be transferred to your loved ones.

Session Five: Being More Self-Compassionate by Focusing on What Is True Right Now
In week five, we are going to expand the self-compassion we touched on last week. We will focus on something that sounds so easy and yet it is one of the hardest things to do: complete acceptance without judging no matter how bad that thing was and the ramifications that exist today because of it. We are going to look at our worth as a person, our care for others, and how we can accept ourselves on those hard days.

This workshop is facilitated by Laura Beth DeHority, LMFT, a licensed marriage and family therapist.

Made possible by funding from El Camino Health and the County Of Santa Clara.
