3 Take-a-ways from this presentation:
1. Describe how Play Therapists work with young children
2. Lay out the 3 stages of a meltdown and discuss best places caregivers can intervene
3. Implement 3 tools to help small children regulate their emotions

From Susan:

“As a Play Therapist who specializes in treating children as young as toddlers, I have noticed that a very common struggle for caregivers is dealing with big feelings. For children struggling with additional developmental challenges, big feelings can often be even more problematic. This introductory level presentation will discuss how a Play Therapist works with young children, explores the 3 stages of a meltdown, discusses 3 tools to help regulate small children, and explains the importance of play for small children.”
