The best way to prepare a child for adulthood is to teach them to be an organized thinker. However, a neat room and an up-to-date calendar only scratch the surface of organized thinking. The organization encompasses the executive functions and neurodevelopmental abilities needed to create plans, solve problems, and grasp the big picture. In this presentation, Dr. Korb will describe 5 principles of parenting that can be used to boost a child’s independence, ease frustration, and promote confidence – fostering these important tools for a successful launch into adulthood.

Presented by Damon Korb, MD, Founder and Director of the Center for Developing Minds and author of Raising an Organized Child, 5 Steps to Boost Independence, Ease Frustration, and Promote Confidence, offers guidance on how to encourage them to practice the skills that they will need to launch into their adult life.

This is a Connections California event. Connections California is a project of Parents Helping Parents – Silicon Valley.
