Only for Parents/Caregivers who are Santa Clara County residents with children 0 to 17 years old.

Parents Helping Parents is here for you from the moment your child first has a suspected or confirmed disability diagnosis. You are not alone during this confusing and difficult time.

Sharing the Journey is a 4-part program developed to help you navigate and understand the complex and emotional process of raising a child with special needs. Connect with other parents going through similar experiences, and work with experienced facilitators to create a plan that will help you, your child, and your entire family thrive during this challenging time.

To get the full benefit of this wonderful program, plan to attend all sessions.

Sharing the Journey sessions include:

  • Self-care Strategies & Understanding Parental Grief
  • Community Support and Services
  • Building Resilience Using the 5 Protective Factors (What are the “5 Protective Factors?”)

Participation is limited to families who live in Santa Clara County with children ages 0 – 17. Attendance is limited to 8 families to allow for confidential sharing and discussion.
