More often than not, keeping things together in a special needs household requires constant ongoing maintenance. In this series we are going to have some fun with metaphors of construction to look at a few tools for quickly figuring out where the house is coming apart and what tools we need to grab. We will also throw in a few tools for ongoing maintenance to build a house where hopes and dreams live!
Session Three: Assembly Instructions—Recognizing and Acknowledging the Emotions That are Unique to Caregiving Children and Adults with Special Needs
Laura Beth DeHority is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in working with caregivers and families who are touched by all forms of special needs.
