Life after high school for students with learning differences can be exciting, overwhelming, and scary – all at the same time! Students who want to continue their education at a 4-year college or university may need help as they search for the “right” school and may welcome strategies to help them transition to postsecondary education successfully. They also may want to investigate the kind of support that is available to them in a postsecondary environment, especially those schools which focus on students with learning differences.

Please join an educational consultant/parent and representatives from Beacon and Landmark Colleges as they discuss:
– How to find the “right” college – the one that addresses the student’s wants/needs
– Tips and strategies for preparing for a smooth transition from high school to college
– Examples of support available at colleges or college programs specifically designed for students with learning differences

Helen Amick is an independent educational consultant and parent of 3 young adults with a variety of learning differences; Alexander Morris-Wood is Vice President of Program Development & Global Partnerships, Dean of Admissions & The Center for College Readiness at Beacon College, and the creator of Navigator PREP; Sandra Fishler is the director of the Landmark College Success Center in San Mateo; and Sharon Farrell is the Assistant Director of West Coast Admissions, Landmark College.

This webinar will provide live Spanish interpretation.
