Private Professional Fiduciaries as Community Partners
The choice of a trustee or management system is often the greatest factor as far as the effectiveness of a special needs trust. Family members often fill the role of trustee, but there is an alternative: the private, professional fiduciary.
Please join Stephen W. Dale of the Dale Law Firm and Golden State Pooled Trust as he moderates a panel of private fiduciaries to explore the role of a California Licensed Private Fiduciary (CLPF) including:
- What is the Professional Fiduciary Association of California (PFAC) and what is a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary? (CLPF)
- How the private professional fiduciary can serve as the trustee of a special needs trust and assist in ensuring the best quality of life for the beneficiary
- How to include an advisory committee or trust protector, to include family and natural supports on the management team
- The private professional fiduciary as a career path for those who are interested in serving persons with disabilities and seniors in their communities
Panelists will include:
- Stephen W. Dale, Trustee – Golden State Pooled Trust – Moderator
- Fiona McDonough CLPF – President of the Monterey Bay Chapter of the Professional Fiduciary Association of California – see https://www.trusteeusa.com/
