What is Early Start and How Can It Help My Child and Me?

Please join the Family Resource Center of San Mateo County (FRC) to learn more about the Early Start program, California’s early intervention program for infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families.

This training is an opportunity for parents and guardians of children from birth to age three (3) to get the information they need to navigate the Early Start System. We will cover timelines, the referral and assessment process, the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), and services in the Early Start Program. We will also talk about parents’ rights and self-advocacy.

This training is presented by Disability Rights California. The mission of Disability Rights California is to defend, advance, and strengthen the rights and opportunities of people with disabilities.
