The Autism Support Group and Information Workshop for Parents meets monthly to discuss autism-related issues relevant to school-aged youth.
Who should attend?
This autism support group is ideal for parents, professionals, and caregivers of school-aged children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). We also encourage attendance from those working with children with developmental delays in communication, behavior, and social skills.
This is a wonderful chance to connect with parents and families with experiences similar to yours. You can share your personal story, or simply listen and learn from other parents. Some meetings will include a local professional to present on special needs topics.
Meetings are held online via Zoom and facilitated by two knowledgeable volunteers: Kat, mom to a young adult, and Hadeel, mom to a school-aged child.
When are meetings held?
This group meets currently on the second Wednesday evening of the month. Refer to the event calendar for our next meeting date and time. Note that all of our meeting times are for the Pacific Time Zone.
Special Request:
Please plan to have your camera on during our meetings to build trust and collaboration. Families share sensitive information during our groups and it’s more supportive to be able to see each other.
